How to get money back from a cop.

August 10th, 2009 · 10 Comments

Last week, I had to visit  ICICI bank in CMH road. I parked my bike beside the bank, where everyone parks by the way, and go to the ATM inside. 2 Minutes later, I come out and my bike is missing. A Chat guy next to the Road tells me that my bike was just towed.

Well that wasn’t the worst part. Why did I go to ICICI back and come back just after 2 minutes? Well, turns out I had forgotten to take my wallet when I started. Damn it.  I took an Auto and went back home took my wallet and all the bike papers and went to the police station. The wrong police station. Apparently right side of  the ICICI bank falls under Jeevan bheema nagar station and not Indira Nagar. Damn divisions.

The  I take the same auto and go the the other police station and see my bike chained there to a tree! Yea. I go inside and tell a cop that I need to get my bike back. Saw my license and asked for 300 bucks. Made a sad face and gave him that with out arguing. Thinking that the ordeal is over and I can finally go to the bank and finish what I actually left home for, it started raining cats and dogs for another half hour. waiting there inside the station I make a call to Anoop and talk to him about something. And purposefully added a point that I have not received salary since last July, when the cop was standing right next to me. The stopped later and we came out to get my bike. He unchained my bike and gave back 100 bucks. Yea, the cop  gave back 100 bucks and didn’t ask me for any other papers (which I’m glad, because I do not have FC for my bike and its also TN registration). Now that’s a consolation for a day like that.

So that my friends, is how you get the money back from a cop.

Hahahaha, hilarious machan!! Same kinda story but I had to tell the cop the truth that even if he was to take me to an ATM, there was absolutely no money in it. Finally had to promise on my mom, dad and myself that I had no money and he let me go - after taking 50 bucks off me! But getting money back from a cop is new. No wonder it rained!

And yea I know, probably that’s why it rained.

Good story. Reminds me of the times I used to escape with no money in my wallet.
