A small indi-conversation
by Karthik on Feb.07, 2010, under Friends, Humor, Indiblogger, Personal
We were sitting at the reception of one of our client’s office and Renie and I were lead to this conversation some how…
Me: … yea dude, even I need a personal assistant. I’m going to recruit a really hot secretary and I want indiblogger to pay for it.
Renie: Sure da… you can have anoop!
Me: No da, I meant a hot secretary.
Renie: Yea, you can take Anoop.
Me: Hmm… (after a pause) Let me rephrase it… This hot secretary can also work out of the HQ.
Renie: Oh… then on a 2nd thought…
He he he…
Help give education to 40,000 children
by Karthik on Jan.18, 2010, under Personal, Uncategorized
Recently came to know about Give India, an NGO that strives hard to eliminate illiteracy among poor. Anoop has written more about their initiatives what support they need from us.
As I have always been saying education is the best thing you can give another human being. Information leads to intelligence and lets help as many people around us with that by voting for Give India. I encourage every one who even just stumbles upon this blog for the very first time to take 2 mins off your time and vote for them. You can find more information about this in Anoop’s blog but I’ll paste it here as well.
“We can blog and vote to save these children as GiveIndia has done the hard work of being our “Man-At-Arms” . they are India’s most trusted and credible NGOs, GiveIndia is taking part in a competition on Facebook to win a US$1 million grant. The winner will be the NGO that gets the highest number of votes from Facebook users. The prize of $1 million will help put or keep 40,000 children across India in school for one year!
But then again, social media has this unique habit of changing the scene over night .. So all is not lost! and here are some details:
Where to vote ? : http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charities/338730
Do you want to do something extra?: Blog about it! and add relevant links
Do you need more information?: Visit the giveIndia blog http://blog.giveindia.org/
Do you want to be sure?: Send an email , giveindiachase@gmail.com
Do you want to talk about this with other people?: Log on to http://IndiBlogger.in/forum“
So people, make sure you become a fan, vote for it, tweet and then also blog about it to make sure it gets the maximum reach.
My blog is back!
by Karthik on Aug.10, 2009, under Events, Personal
Ok, little flashback… Due to a few issues I had lately, I’ve been traveling to Chennai every other day and I really couldn’t focus on blogging. And in the meantime, my domain expired and I couldn’t get it back because it was too late. So Anwin had to buy it back for me. Thanks a lot Anwin for your charity
And now its back and I’m blogging again! So to all my fans who had been patiently waiting for posts from me, here they come.
Waking up pissed off.
by Karthik on Jun.02, 2008, under Personal
Have you ever woken up a fine morning… pissed off? yea, totally pissed off. Today morning, I woke up pissed off for the first time ever (as much as I can remember). Well, I wake up, sit and think why am I pissed off? Well, came up with a few reasons (about 3) and one of it is that chennai lost yesterday after that good fight. I mean, definitely they did their best but when they had to prove their moment of truth, they failed. Hmm… Still digesting. The other 2 reasons is going to take a while to subside, but hey it feels good to be pissed off.. for a change.
Personality Makeover
by Karthik on Apr.23, 2008, under Personal
Hmm… from my recent analysis of myself, I understand that I have not been the way I wanted to be in a few aspects for a very long time. Something I always wanted to change back to ever since a few weeks after I came to Bangalore, few years ago. But never did, thinking that it might affect others. But turns out that if I had been the way I wanted to be, then few things might have been a little different. Well, for good or bad I don’t know.
Having said that what all am I going to change? Well, nothing too much immediately. The total change might take from 4 to 8 weeks.
I’m going to try this, and see how it goes. But here I’d like to give the following outcomes so that my changes don’t negatively affect people around me.
1) No 3rd chance. Well, I already have this but was never strict about it. But from now on, totally.
2) Straight forward… no matter what! - I’m just going to say things to people what I feel instead of sugar coating them or not telling them at all. This means few might sound rude, but people, analyze them and do not take them personally.
3) Going to be more aggressive about everything and all the time.
4) And its time to party baby! so, am gonna be getting down on few things. Well just for the heck of it.
5) And finally couple of things that I don’t want to spill right now. You guys will know it, and know it well in just a few days.
And girls, don’t worry, this is not going to make me any less awesomer. This is only going to get better!
Think this will be quite interesting, to be like how I was long ago and mixing it with few new changes as well. May this be for the good!

This quote is dedicated to all the readers of this post who ignorantly/purposefully cause frustration in their on or other’s life. Even though for a brief period of time.

New year vows that I think I could have.
by Karthik on Dec.31, 2007, under Cool Stuff, Personal
Today, 3 people till now have come and asked me what are my new year vows. I’ve never had any new year resolutions till date. I never wanted to, but these are the ones that I can think of having if I have to.
1. Will be more efficient and manage natural resources.
2. Will stop accepting things as it is and start contradicting when required.
3. Will bring down my tolerance level and oppose things that are really ill-mannered or offensive, even if it’s as simple as talking mouthful or slurping a cup of coffee.
4. Will be less forgiving when people make mistakes for the second or third time.
5. Will not compromise anymore on things that could stop the results that I need.
6. Will stand by my words when I know I’m right and will not give up just to avoid arguments.
7. Will complete reading a book when I start one.
8. Will not forget even once when I know a particular favor/help affects some one else, even if its as simple as bringing a bike key.
9. Will go out of this country for a vacation.
10. Will follow all of the above.
I’m really open minded!
by Karthik on Nov.15, 2007, under Cool Stuff, Cool sites, Personal
Checked this out in 10 daily things and I took the test.
You Are 80% Open Minded |
![]() You are so open minded that your brain may have fallen out! Well, not really. But you may be confused on where you stand. You don’t have a judgemental bone in your body, and you’re very accepting. You enjoy the best of every life philosophy, even if you sometimes contradict yourself. |
Looks like I’m very open minded. Good and at the same time causes some trouble too.
